What is your profession?
Intuitive animal communicator; I’ve worked mainly with dogs, cats, horses and miniature donkeys/mules. I once connected with my nephew’s caterpillar to see how she was doing. And she did have something useful to say!
Who are your ideal clients? Who do you heal or help?
My tagline is “Where people and pets heal & connect.” I work with people who love their animals as much as they love their humans.
My ideal client is someone who is open minded and is willing to see their animal from a number of perspectives, even a spiritual perspective.I really love working with people whose animals have “issues” (physical, behavioral, emotional). We work to improve the situation by partnering with the animal; we consider them a family member who wants to please their people.
Some clients wonder if their animal is ready to transition and how to make it easy for the animal. Some want to see if an animals who has passed is OK; I love working with these folks.
How do you help people?
I facilitate a dialogue with the animal and their people to find out what’s going on from the animal’s perspective.
I communicate to the animal how their behavior affects the family. I may do a body scan for potential problem areas (advisory only of course – I like when people are working with their veterinarian and trainers/behaviorists).
I do energetic healing for both the animals and the humans so they more easily set a new course of action.
I give the animal and the human with visualizations and energetic techniques they can do on their own outside our sessions.
What is your typical day like?
I do one to two dog walks for Stella and Tibor, taking turns with my husband, Charlie.
You might also find me laying without moving for extended periods of time when one of the cats, Mac or Brick, is snuggled on top of me.
Yoga and meditation help me get into a good mindset and keep my intuitive skills sharp.
Prior to a session, I will meditate on pictures of my clients’ animals before to gain an overall sense of who they are, their essence.
Doing remote sessions with the client and the animal; it’s pretty interactive. The client can ask questions and tell their animal information through me. The client and I work together to clearly discern what we’re getting from their animal.
I love learning, so I am currently in a year-long program to practice and deepen my animal communication skills – Communication with All Life University.
What makes your job so much fun?
The animals! Seriously, you never know what you will encounter.
I was chatting with an older dog whose family had gotten a puppy – the older dog was having a hard time adjusting.
At the end of the session, I was thinking, boy that puppy is really yappy. How do they stand it?? (Yup, that’s what I was thinking.)
The older dog then says, “There are benefits to losing your hearing when you grow older!” I laughed so hard.
What is your favorite quote?
“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”
