Sometimes as purpose-driven entrepreneurs we need a quick “cash infusion.” Ideally, we don’t want to operate from a “feast or famine” mode, but life isn’t perfect. And neither are our businesses.
How can you quickly add cash to your bottom line this month? First, you need to get in the right mindset – it’s about the service, not the cash. That means reframing your desire from “I need more money” to “I will serve more paying clients.” Doesn’t that sound less desperate? Less from a place of lack? Yes!
As you work on your mindset, here are some practical tactics you can implement to find those paying clients pronto:
#1: Make a follow-up list and start reaching out
Fellow introverts, I see you and I hear you. You read marketing tip after marketing tip – and you wonder: “How am I going to do this?”
A lot of marketing requires entrepreneurs to be visible. This may mean going to networking meetings, or attending conferences, or giving speeches, or even teaching a workshop.
Exhausting to think about, right?
However, growing your business means stepping away from your computer – and outside of your home – from time to time.
So, here’s your permission slip (it’s two parts):
I just finished the book, Happy Pocket Full of Money, by David Cameron Gikandi, and I was particularly moved by Gikandi’s thoughts on wealth consciousness. He writes, “Once you have wealth consciousness, it will be very difficult for you not to have success and wealth. Success and wealth will follow you automatically wherever you go.” (page 5).
In other words, when you believe in all levels of your mind that you are wealthy (despite what your checking account may show), then more wealth and success will come to you. You have to believe you’re wealthy before you can get wealthy.
Which got me thinking about marketing…
Many purpose-driven entrepreneurs and Lightworkers come to me, and say that they know nothing about marketing, or that they hate marketing, or that marketing never works for them. Perhaps you think these same thoughts?
