How I Prepare My Business For Vacation

How I Prepare My Business For Vacation by Jill CelesteCan you ever take a vacation when you’re a business owner? Absolutely! In fact, you should.

You can’t pour from an empty cup, and going on vacation is a great way to refill.

Here’s a fun fact:  The day I publish this marketing strategy, I will be on vacation. And I know that I can “safely” leave my business alone for five days because I have prepared my business accordingly.

Admittedly, it’s scary to unplug from your business, especially when you’re a solopreneur. However, with the right systems in place, you can do it (I am living proof!).

In this week’s marketing strategy, I will share with you exactly how I prepare my business for vacation.

My intention is to inspire you – and share with you best practices that you can replicate in your business.

Ready, set, let’s go on vacation!

Sales Is A Numbers Game

Sales Is A Numbers Game by Jill CelesteWhen I first started my coaching practice, I received a piece of valuable advice from a business coach: “Sales is a numbers game.”

I will never forget when she told me this nugget of wisdom. First, it showed me that I can’t just wave a magic wand and customers would magically appear. It will take (marketing) work.

Second, it removed the “they won’t like me” feeling from the equation. It’s about meeting a volume of people. Of course, the odds are that people won’t convert to customers. It’s just math!

I want to explore the “sales is a numbers game” message a little further with you, putting it into a context of the Law of Attraction and authentic marketing.

Because, yes, we need to get out there in a big way (it’s a numbers game, after all), but we can do so without selling our souls.

Let’s delve in!

How To Follow Up Without Being A Pest

How To Follow Up Without Being A Pest by Jill CelesteHow do you follow up with potential clients without being a pest?

I get it! No one likes to be hounded, and we don’t want to come across as used car salesmen either.

With that said, as entrepreneurs, it’s imperative to have a follow-up process because, as the old saying goes, “The magic is in the follow up.”

We must follow up, or we are missing out on chances to help our ideal clients (and lovingly compensated for our Gifts!).

If you would like to follow up more authentically, then this is the marketing strategy for you. Part mindset, part tactical – you can master the art of the follow up without feeling icky in the process.

Let’s delve in on how to follow up lovingly with your sales prospects.

My Best Marketing Copy Tip

My Best Marketing Copy Tip with Jill CelesteMarketing copy is how you connect with your ideal client. It’s how you share your Gifts, encourage people to invest in your products and services, and build brand awareness.

Solopreneurs can’t usually hire a professional copywriter to help with their marketing copy, which is why it’s important you know how to write effective copy on your own.

Even if writing is not your forte’, figuring out how to write client attraction marketing copy is a must as Director of Marketing for your business.

In today’s marketing strategy, I will share you with my best marketing copy tip. It’s simple – something anyone can do (whether you think you can write or not). And it’s breathtakingly effective.

What I love about this marketing strategy is that it’s grounded in love and authenticity. And it works so well, you’ll feel more confident in every word you put out there.

Okay, enough prefacing – let’s do this!

Picking Your Essential Marketing Tasks

Picking Your Essential Marketing TasksAs the Director of Marketing for your business, it’s important that you only work on essential marketing tasks.

Let me define what I mean by “essential marketing tasks.”

So many times, entrepreneurs implement too many marketing activities at the same time.

The problem with this strategy is that you are not doing any one marketing activity well. You are spread too thin, which is hard when you’re a solopreneur.

You are never sure if you’re gaining maximum power from marketing because you can’t implement any one marketing activity fully.

Think of a series of holes in the ground. You could dig 12 holes at two inches in depth – and spread your marketing around that way. Or you could dig two holes at 12 inches in depth – and go deeper into each marketing tactic.

Spoiler alert: For solopreneurs, the two deep holes will get you more profitable results.

Let’s take a look at your essential marketing tasks in this week’s marketing strategy.
