Detach From The Outcome

Detaching from the outcome by Jill CelesteThe hardest mindset shift I’ve had to make as an entrepreneurs is this one: Detach from the outcome.

The control freak in me likes to control everything, including the outcomes of my marketing efforts.

But I don’t really have control, do I?

You see, trying to control something that I didn’t have control over was killing my mindset. I would create these goals – I need this many people to enroll – and then be crushed when I didn’t make the goal.

So crushed, in fact, that I thought seriously about quitting my business.

I don’t want you to go down this rabbit hole, which is why I wrote this week’s marketing strategy about how to detach from the outcome.

Truth bomb: If you can master this concept, it will change your business. Let’s get started.

How To Create Quantitative Goals For Your Marketing

How To Create Quantitative Goals For Your Marketing by Jill CelesteIt’s completely understandable. It can feel like you’re pulling numbers out of thin air. And while you may have excellent intuition, if you’re not picking numbers based on data, you may be picking the wrong numbers.

And if you’re like me, when you don’t make a goal, you can be hard on yourself – even if your quantitative goal was based on an arbitrary number.

Goals shouldn’t be a mindset killer! Instead, let’s look at a new way to create goals, using a three-tier approach that I will explain in this blog post.

The next time you create a marketing goal, try this three-tier approach and see if it feels easier to come up with the numbers.

Celestial Changemakers Course

Female entrepreneurs, it’s time to raise our voices.

Why? Because this our current reality:

Women are expected to be quiet, polite, and differential.

Women are expected to look amazingly perfect – all while putting on a façade of a perfect life, marriage, home, and children.

Women are not supposed to be troublemakers. We are not supposed to create conflict and rock the boat.

(And when we do, we’re called bitches…or worse).

Women are supposed to love our children but not try to change the world for them.

Our society does not trust women – from making decisions about what’s best for our bodies to not believing us when we accuse men of rape or sexual harassment.

Women are supposed to be small – physically, mentally, and emotionally – and not take up space.

It’s time for this to end.

I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of it.

It’s time for female entrepreneurs to lead the charge – to raise our voices and to have a bigger presence – and use our platforms and businesses to make the world a better place for all humans (for generations to come).

You see, female entrepreneur, we are leaders. We are changemakers. We are here – not to be silent – but to be a strong voice and to advocate for a better world.

Our world is at a crossroads. We can stay on our current path filled with sexism, racism, xenophobia, climate change denial, voter suppression, and other injustices. Or we can take a new path – one of love, compassion, human rights, equal rights, and green policies.

I vote for the new path. How about you?

You see: Female entrepreneurs can be the shepherds who bring this world to love, enlightenment, justice, and equality.

Using Your Marketing Platform For Social Good

Using Your Marketing Platform For Social Good by Jill CelesteNo matter the size, your marketing platform can not only be used to grow your business; it can also be used for social good.

I define “social good” as a charitable or civic cause that you align with, whose purpose is to make the world a better place.

On a larger scale this could include organizations such as the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and Doctors Without Borders, to more generalized causes such as women’s rights or homeless veterans.

As a purpose-driven entrepreneur, I bet you have one or more causes you are passionate about, but you may not have considered how you can help your favorite causes through your marketing platforms.

You may be timid about mixing your business with your causes. What will your ideal clients think? Will it hurt your business?

We’ll tackle all of your questions in this week’s marketing strategy. My intention is to encourage you to use your marketing platform for social good – all as a way to shine your Light even brighter in this world. Let’s begin!
